Training Time is Play Time!

I will say this now, I LOVE to train. Workouts aren't work for me, they're something I do for myself each day because I love to push myself to the physical brink and I find some transcendence in throwing around heavy weights and pushing my heartrate above 200 bpm. It's part of why I got into the training game, to pass that love on and help people to see that working out shouldn't feel like work. Sure there has to be a degree of focus on form and technique, and obviously effort is involved, but if you can come to not only enjoy, but love training simply for the sake of training going to the gym will never be a rigorous exercise in self-control.

The end results are nice to think about and to motivate when absolutely necessary; we all want to look our best and be healthy, but next time you're here at UTC take a second to truly appreciate what you're doing  and lose yourself in the sweaty, overwhelming fun of it all. There is something inspiring about seeing the looks of mingled pain, joy, and pride on all of your faces as you push through a tough rope circuit ( at least I am pretty sure there are some traces of joy under the grimaces). So have fun in your own skin, try new things use your body to move freely, and test your physical capabilities!

What's a gym, if not a big playground filled with lots of shiny toys? Come out and play!
